FINALLY, some stitching to show!

This is a rather small piece of stitching, but I actually started AND finished something!!!  It is a very simple and fun little Trail Creek chart.  I will finish it into an ornament for the summer tree--better get to that pretty soon or I'll miss it for this year!!
This is on 30 ct. pale pink linen and I changed the floss colors to brighter reds, pinks and greens!  I couldn't get the photo colors exactly right, but this gives you the general idea!
I have the other 3 seasons, also, and I want to do those, too, because they work up fast and are cute!

Heartfelt Thanks

I am so very touched by the lovely comments and the kindness expressed to me!  I am so pleased to be part (a small part!) of the blogging world and it has been such a joy to get to know so many wonderful people!  It has been very sad and difficult to lose my darling cat, Violetta, but you all have made me feel so much better!  Thank you so much for everything!  You will never know how much you are appreciated!

I've had my patriotic tree up for a while now, so I changed it a little to have a Summer tree for the moment.  I left a few patriotic things and added some other summery items.  I'm particularly fond of the cute little "jeweled" bees and frogs I found in the sale bin yesterday!!!  They are too cute!!  I've been on a "bee kick" since I won the fabulous giveaway from Jacquie, which included two fabulous bee items--a precious pillow and a sweet little bee mini-pillow that is perched on this tree!!!  I was thrilled to find these sparkly bees and I've got a few bee patterns that I'm going to stitch myself!!  What fun!

As usual, my photography isn't too great, but in the right photo you can see the little bee and frog!!  I love them!!

I'm working on some stitching now and will have a photo very soon!     Thanks for stopping by, and do come again soon!    Frances

Some weeks are better than others...

I am so behind in the stitching department, but I'm getting back to it now.
I had my kidney stone zapping last week--never a fun thing.  But this will, hopefully, get that under control and over with!!!  Cross your fingers!
One other thing that happened last week is that I lost my precious, sweet kitty Violetta.  I really thought she was doing better and getting well.  I even posted about it earlier.  But she was much sicker than we thought and just couldn't get well.  She had to go to an emergency vet, but they were so lovely and kind.  I really hate that this happened, but we certainly did everything we could for her.  She is now at peace and not in any discomfort. She is buried in our back yard, beside my cat that we lost 10 years ago.  He was a sweetie, too, and we had him for 18 1/2 years!  They are now there together.  It's so hard to let them go, but they sure do bring a lot of pleasure while you have them!
I'm sorry to be such a downer today...as I said above, some weeks are better than others!

Thanks for visiting and please come again soon....things will be more pleasant then!

Happy Fourth!

Dear Friends, I have been all over the place with many stories and adventures--too many to tell at once.
However, you may not remember that I am a musician and I enjoyed a week at my annual music conference in Portland, Oregon last week!  Beautiful place, beautiful music, and was everything great!  And now I'm back and behind !!!  But it will get caught up soon!

I haven't mentioned that I have had some kidney stone issues, and I have to go in for a "zapping" next week! Not the best news--I've had this done before.  I had trouble on the trip to Boston AND on the trip to Portland.  SO....my wonderful doctor says I have to make a little excursion next week for a little outpatient fun.  I cannot believe that I have reached the stage that I actually have health stuff to talk about!!!!  What is my world coming to??? HA HA HA!!!  ( I guess this just proves I'm human!)

Oh well, enough of that!!!!!

I love Patriotic things and I still have my Patriotic Tree up for tomorrow!  My family will cook out and we'll have fun eating it inside, where it's cool!  And yes, we do have a boil water notice going on now....can you believe it???  Oh well, I bought a bunch and life goes on! We should take bets on how many will turn on the faucet and drink!!

I quickly fixed a festive table and some "grocery store flowers" for the centerpiece!  It looks happy, even though I just spotted that lamp cord poking out from behind the china cabinet!!  At least I caught it now!!!  Oh my!  HAHAHA

My tree is still there, looking so patriotic.  And if you look in the closeup, you will see a precious little bee nestled in there!  It's just perfect for summer and I smile every time I see it!  You may remember that this is part of my wonderful prize from Jacquie--from far away in England!!!  I just love it!

Oh yes, my precious kitty is doing well!  We boarded her at the vet while we were gone and they said she did great!  YAY!

Thank you so much for stopping by and do come again soon!  I have missed blogging, and your blogs, with all of everything else that's gone on, but I should get back on schedule now!  Have a wonderful and safe holiday weekend!!
